The Canadian Museum of Civilisation.

Today I went to the Canadian museum of Civilisation for my schools winter fest. It was amazing!!!! My favourite part of the museum was the Native section because I have always been fascinated with the Native Americans, and their art.

                               Two worried looking men. Didn't have time to find out who they were. We only had an hour in the museum. Hardly enough time to read and see everything.

 After I zoomed through the sights, I came out under the very colourful doom. Than I had to go to the Imax theatre at the museum and watch " Extreme sports." Good movie, but the motion sickness I got was not worth it. I hope I can go back again, and get more time to browse around. Definitely a museum I recommend.

With all the snowdays this week, us kids dived into our klutz face paints and had a blast. Here are some of our cool faces and designs!!!!!

This week my sisters and I dived into felts and flowers. So how did this all start? Well I was sick. Again!!! So I was feeling kind of bored, and so the snoopy sister that I am, I snooped in my eleven year old sisters drawers. There I found a crafting world. Felts, threads, flowers!!! I got excited. I really wanted to begin crafting right away, but I waited till my sister got home from school to ask her if I could use some of her supplies. After lots of begging she let me use half a piece of felt and some embroidery thread. So this is what I created first. I created a hand protector. My own invention inspired by burning my hands holding a cup of tea. I cut the half piece of felt in half, than embroidered yellow and pink flowers around the edges. Then I attached a button on one end, got my cup of tea, and fastened my invention around it. No more burnt hands. Sat back and with no worries and drank my tea. After that I had some left over felt and I felt I had to do something with it, so out came a head band for the baby. Using flowers from a broken necklace and buttons from our button collection, I added them to the headband giving it a adorable charm. Thus was created my most popular invention Feltastic!!!!!!!  My little sisters began to beg for one and so I took felt from my moms basket and the scrap basket. My sisters wore the Feltastics to school and soon I had a few more orders from there. I was on a roll. And my eleven year old sister let me use the other half of felt and another sheet.

Then with the last flowers I attached them to hair elastics. Another huge hit.

 

Now I'm out of flowers and my sister won't let me use anymore felt. So ends my inventing with flowers and felt. ( for now)

Snow day events.

Well today is another snowday in the middle of nowhere. School canceled so I don’t have to do my religion exam today. Yah!! So beside studying This is how the days been going.

My art with paper.

Well I started off having fun with really nice paper (bought from wall mart) I decorated my new folders for next semester with the paper and this glue called mod podge. “Jacinta’s mod podging,” my brother yelled. (What does he know) lol. Then I decorated the insides of my binder with the scraps. After that I let my imagination guide me and did a few more activities with the paper.

Yesterday was the last day of art class so I got to bring my creations home. I hung my paper mask on my bedroom wall and my little sister was very excited about me letting her play with the paddle I made.

 

The worst part of today was probably the fight for a beautiful lady cat. Garfield vs Starburst over who would have relationships with our female cat Oreo. They allmost killed each other. When I reached them they had tore fur off each other and had ripped each others ears. So now we have to keep them separated and give Oreo away.
