                       Journey to the Father.

So this weekend my sister and I went to a Catholic Youth Conference in St. Raphael's Ontario, which is also in the middle of no where except that teens all across Ontario/Montreal go there once a year to grow and celebrate their faith.

We got to the place, after four hours of driving in tornado weather. (not joking there were tornado warnings) and had to go immediately inside the school's gym when we got there because of the annoying warning. We stayed in there for about three/four hours till the storms passed. Then headed outside and headed to our tents.

Girls tent.

The weekend went as followed.
Every person there got a water bottle with the event's logo on it.
We all got to sleep on mats on the bare ground. ( There were so many ants, but sleeping on the ground was still kind of cool.)

The outhouses were right next to the tents.

They also had  these cool things you could wash your hands with.
You put your meals in MC Donald bags.

Activities ranged from daily mass, praise and worship, talks, skits, adoration, workshops, and the rosary.
During free time you could swing, play sports, go to the shop in the school, pray, meet new people, or visit the ruins.
The ruins of St Raphael's.

Over all the retreat was great!!! It is always the highlight of my summer. Can't wait till next year! Hopefully there won't be tornado warnings next time.
